Reform

The Napa/Solano/Contra Costa Educational Support Team engages in many different types of reform work.

District Assistance Intervention Team (DAIT), Site Assistance Intervention Team (SAIT), and the High Priority Schools Grant Program (HPSGP) are designed by the California Department of Education to provide targeted support to high priority schools and districts that do not meet Academic Performance Index (API) targets. Secondary SAIT is an additional sanction for sites that did not exit SAIT during the initial three-year SAIT process.

In addition, the Napa/Solano/Contra Costa Educational Support Team works proactively with schools and districts through pre-SAIT, pre-DAIT, and pre-PI support to build coherent educational systems, boost student achievement, and keep schools and districts from falling into state sanctions or Program Improvement. Our team boasts a cadre of experts in all of the key challenge areas confronting high priority schools and districts. These knowledgeable specialists and experts include:

  • English Language Learner Program Specialists
  • Special Education Program Specialists
  • English/Language Arts Content Specialists/Coaches
  • Mathematics Content Specialists/Coaches
  • Leadership Coaches at all levels of the system, including individual and Leadership Team coaching
