Closing the Achievement and Opportunity GapsNapa/Solano/Contra Costa Educational Support Team’s DAIT and Program Improvement districts, and SAIT and HPSGP schools improved API scores, and began to close the achievement and opportunity gaps as well. For example, during the SAIT implementation process at Anderson Elementary in Dixon, white students had an overall increase of 22 points in their API scores, while Hispanic students had an overall increase of 87 points. At Colusa High, white students had an overall increase of 87 points in their API scores while Hispanic students had an overall increase of 106 points.
